Another of Alton's recipes for you again. This one is probably one of his simplest recipes, as it has three ingredients only.
The only ingredients you will need to bake this are a potato, oil, and salt. Once it is baked, you
might want some butter, bacon, sour cream or cheese, but those are all optional. To start, preheat the oven to 350º F. and move the racks to the center. Now, here are the steps for this simple recipe:

Now, place the potato on the rack of the oven and let bake for around 1 hour. Alton stated in the book that a medium-sized russet potato should be cooked in 1 hour. To check for doneness, squeeze the potato gently (with gloves); if the outside is crunchy but the inside feels soft, it is done.

That is it! This recipe makes a great side to many dishes, including one I will share with you on Monday. Hope you liked this easy dish, and feel free to leave any comments in the comment section below or on Facebook.
This was good, but not quite what we expected. You'd think it would be salty, but it wasn't that noticeable. It was tasty, and with some toppings it was quite good!
ReplyDeleteYour photos turned out really nice! When I clicked the potato photo especially it was very clear.
