I have a new recipe for you! I know it has been a while since I shared a recipe, but I thought I'd share this one because I really like it. This is a recipe for Mississippi Mud Pie. Click image to enlarge. The reason this pie has this name is because the appearance is comparable to that of the Mississippi River. There's a nutty crust on the bottom, like the pebbles at the bottom of the river. Then there is a cheese filling, which symbolizes the silt and dirt that sometimes piles up on the riverbed. Next is the "mud," which is chocolate pudding, and last of all is the cool whip on top, which is the frothy peaks of the water rushing down-river.
