In today's Saturday Sweetly, we will be making a do-nothing cake. This is a pineapple-flavored cake with a salty/sweet nut topping.
So, as always, the first step is to preheat your oven, this time to 350ĀŗF. These are the ingredients for
the cake itself:
Once everything is combined, pour it into a well greased 9x13 pan and pop it in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
Now, onto the topping. You will need:
When the cake has ten minutes left to bake, put all the ingredients for the topping into the pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes. This will need stirred frequently to help it melt and break up chunks. When the cake is out of the oven, pour the topping onto the cake (while the cake is still hot) and spread it out to cover the cake.

It looks really good. Hope it tasted as good as it looks. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It did. ;)
DeleteThis is a great cake recipe for a busy day! It is easy to throw together and you don't even need a mixer. Also, if you're looking for something to suit your taste for Hawaiian, this just might do the job. Coconut with pineapple---you can't go wrong with that combo!
