Monday Munchies: Tater Tot Casserole

As the leaves start to fall, and the weather starts to turn colder, we start to pick recipes that are warm and filling to fight the cold. This is a perfect cold-weather recipe.
Besides this recipe being a nice hot meal, it is also very easy to fix, and not really expensive. Here are the ingredients.

  • 32 ounces frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 10 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar
  • 8 green onions
  • 1 cup corn flakes, frosted flakes OR potato chips: crushed (not dust, but pretty small pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
The first step in the recipe is to pre-heat the oven to 375ĀŗF; then do this:

 Now, in a separate bowl:
Spread the tater tot filling into a greased 9x13 pan, and bake the casserole for 40 minutes. Then, sprinkle the chip mixture over top. This will give the food some texture and crunch when cooked. Stick the casserole back in the oven for about 10 minutes.
I love this recipe because it has a nice creamy filling from the soup, but with crunch from the chips. I hope you will try and enjoy this recipe. Have you ever had anything like this? Feel free to share it with me through Facebook or the comment section below.

With Apologies to Robert Frost

I have a class for school called Speech. This is supposed to help me learn how to stand properly while speaking, pronounce words properly, and so on. The most recent section is on how to give meaning and feeling to a  poem when reading one out loud. My teacher, Mrs. Autrey, has been reciting poems to us as examples, and she uses a variety such as happy poems, sad poems, thoughtful and so on. One of them that caught my attention was a funny remake of the famous poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost.   The original is one of my favorite poems, and I have always loved the other poetic works of Robert Frost. Here is the original poem: Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening By Robert Frost   Whose woods these are I think I know.    His house is in the village though;    He will not see me stopping here    To watch his woods fill up with snow.    My little horse must think it queer

Monday Munchies: Peanut Butter Blossoms

Today's recipe has a little more work involved than some of my recipes I've shared, but the result is worth the effort. The ingredients for these cookies are as follows:
