Beep! Beep!

As most of you probably know, I live in a desert-like area here in Rio Grande Valley. So, we have the stereotypical cactus plants scattered around, occasionally see snakes, and yes, we have even had a tumbleweed roll down the street. We also have many other unique wildlife in our area, including roadrunners. It is usually not considered a good thing when a roadrunner hangs around your house, however, because, as the article I am about to share with you says, they eat snakes. So, if this bird likes your house, you might have some snakes around. Anyways, I have seen a roadrunner only a few times, but have heard its unforgettable call in our trees before. This bird does not go "Beep, beep!" A roadrunner, best I can tell, sound like a pterodactyl screeching and clicking. His call is just another example of God's imagination, and I thought I would share with you this magazine article talking about roadrunners. A picture I drew for my Mom of the Road Runner charact...

Dolphins: Smart and Friendly

This is the second magazine article I want to share with you from Let Creation Speak , and this one is called "Dolphins: Smart and Friendly." I love dolphins, so I thought I would share some facts about them through this article. Enjoy!        The sign says "How to Meet the Dolphins. First, don't touch their blowholes. Also, don't put your hand on their heads. Pet them on their sides. Most importantly, if a dolphin offers you a fish, take it. It's a gift of friendship." This sign is posted on a beach called Monkey Mia in Australia. Every day

Chocolate: A Tasty Delight

My Mom has some old Christian magazines for teaching classes at church. In the magazine is a section called Let Creation Speak . These articles talk about different parts of God's creation, usually an animal, and explain all the amazing facts about that creation. I thought I would share a few of the articles with you, so here is the first: Chocolate: A Tasty Delight   Was your last birthday cake chocolate? The rich, sweet taste of chocolate is always popular at parties and on holidays. Chocolate is one of the nicest

PCC Campus Post: [insert comma]

The last week has been a hectic one. From Monday to Friday, our church held VBS for about 40 kids. The experience was... interesting. I was told to be more of a student than a helper this year, as last year I did not participate too much in class time and activities for all the monitoring that needed done. This year was a little better, and I was able to participate in the games and lesson time, while still watching over the unruly kids. We (in my family) are very tired from the running around, and from staying up late each night. All that being said, my post today is a little shorter than normal, not about food, and not written by me. I have borrowed another PCC Campus Post blog post off of their website. This one was

To The Edge!

My church's VBS program, To The Edge, is about to start here on June 6 and will end on June 10. Because of this, the church needed to be decorated with everything space-themed we have. Thus, when the Mujeres de Esperanza meeting rolled around today, we used all our time together and more to get the decorating done. Here are some photos of our hard workers today, and the decorations we put up. Click  Photo to Enlarge. This poster was already up to announce
