Free Time Free-hand Drawings

I've been working a lot of hours at work recently, because of some big deadlines coming soon for the next school year. While I have enjoyed most of this extra work, my least favorite new job they have given me is covering the front office when Elsa (our front office person) is in a meeting or at lunch. However, sometimes the front office is not very busy and I get some time to just doodle in a notepad or on sticky notes. This being said, I thought I would share some of my favorite drawings I have made in the last couple weeks.

This first one is a free-hand drawing of the IDEA Public Schools logo. Considering I see it every day, I finally decided to give a go at drawing it. I didn't do the best on this one, and might try again eventually.

These next drawings were separate, but go together pretty well. I drew the one on the right on my own, no picture of any sort. The maple leaf on the right I copied off the internet at home. There was no tracing, just free-hand drawing.

 This last picture is a copy of the PCC eagles logo I have on a shirt I own. Again, I didn't trace the design off of anything, just took a picture of the shirt and free-hand drew it. My mom thinks it looks more like a falcon, and I think I agree, but I still really like this drawing.

This is the second magazine article I want to share with you from Let Creation Speak , and this one is called "Dolphins: Smart and Friendly." With Apologies to Robert Frost

I have a class for school called Speech. This is supposed to help me learn how to stand properly while speaking, pronounce words properly, and so on. The most recent section is on how to give meaning and feeling to a  poem when reading one out loud. My teacher, Mrs. Autrey, has been reciting poems to us as examples, and she uses a variety such as happy poems, sad poems, thoughtful and so on.
