My Crosstitching Hobby

Last birthday I got a cross stitch pattern with a boxer design. It was a picture of a blonde boxer with a short muzzle and a white streak on its nose.

Now, here's a photo of the boxer dog we got a little while after my Mom ordered the pattern.Read More...

See the similarity? His name is Argos and I do not think he has ever looked as regal as the boxer on the pattern, but I thought it was cute that my Mom found a pattern of a dog similar to ours. Anyways, the pattern is very large, 196x191 stitches to be exact. That is like 15 x 15 inches. Here is an example of two of the six pages required for the pattern.

I have not gotten a lot done on it, and I started a couple months ago. I decided to start with black, and I have gotten this much done.

What do you see in the photo? :)

Anyways, just thought I would share one of my hobbies with you all. Leave a comment if you would like to see updates on the progress from time to time.

  1. It looks like a Transformer: Optimus Prime walking with his arms up in the air. ;)

  2. I have a cross stitch piece of a "gardening" angel that I've been working on for over 25 years and it's not near as complicated as the one you have here. Maybe someday I'll actually finish mine, but I bet you finish yours first. Love ya, Granny :)

  3. Now all I see is a transformer. If I had to pick something else, I'd say it looks like an aerial view of some strange lake.

  4. It looks like a large dwarf.
