So, we have a couple of unique plants in our backyard that seem to be fitted perfectly to the Christmas season.

These little chile peppers start to bloom around November and will have their spicy result ready in December. We have been told by various people that these chilies are extremely spicy, though maybe not as much as the local habañero peppers. However, there is a member of our
church, Hermana Martha, who loves these chiles. So, whenever there is a large amount of the red type ready, my Mom picks them and takes them to her. The size of these plant can be very large; here are two examples.

I just thought it would be cute to share a "seasonal" plant that is a unique addition to our shrubbery.
These chiles are small but they have a lot of heat!
ReplyDeleteThey are very spicey. We had college kids from various Hispanic countries come and most knew what they were and were afraid to eat them! The best thing is they grow wild and are very abundant, so we can provide them readily to the folks that want them!
