Monday Munchies: Burrito Casserole

The recipe I have today is a family favorite that is easy to make, and not very expensive, either. This recipe originally said to bake in the oven, but we have found that microwaving this dish does just as good a job. Here is the ingredients list: 1 pound ground beef 15 ounces refried beans 3/4 cup water 1 package flour tortillas (we made ours) 1.25 ounce package taco seasoning mix 16 ounces sour cream 8 ounces cheddar cheese 1 large tomato If you want extra toppings for your burrito, you could also add: lettuce, onion, or salsa. Now, here is how to make this recipe: Now the casserole is ready to cook! Place it in the microwave and cook it for 2 minutes. Repeat until the cheese is melted. This can be served alone, or with more tortillas to make burritos! Feel free to try this recipe and leave a comment below or on Facebook.

Monday Munchies: Choco Flan

Today I have a new and unique recipe special to try for Easter. This actually is quite a simple recipe, despite how hard it might look from pictures. It has relatively few ingredients, and the cake is actually a boxed chocolate fudge cake mix. Here are the ingredients for the cake:

A Day In the Life of Me: 10 Years from Now

I have another literary piece from school today, but this time it is a paper that I had to write for English class. My teacher gave the assignment to write a short composition, one paragraph, on what I think my life will be like in the future. I was to write it from a specific point of view, but not state outright what I was trying to imply. Thus, I would need to write hints at what job I have, but not state "I am a..."  Because I am thinking of studying to be a graphic designer, I was to think about what life as a graphic designer might entail for me. So, without further ado, here is a day in the life of me:             I am walking through my house in my pajamas, sipping a steaming cup of tea. Wafting from the mug is the sharp aroma of cinnamon and fragrant herbs. While trying to avoid smacking into walls and furniture, I squint at the phone screen in front of me incredulously. Yet another email from Percy Hogan with even ...

With Apologies to Robert Frost

I have a class for school called Speech. This is supposed to help me learn how to stand properly while speaking, pronounce words properly, and so on. The most recent section is on how to give meaning and feeling to a  poem when reading one out loud. My teacher, Mrs. Autrey, has been reciting poems to us as examples, and she uses a variety such as happy poems, sad poems, thoughtful and so on. One of them that caught my attention was a funny remake of the famous poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost.   The original is one of my favorite poems, and I have always loved the other poetic works of Robert Frost. Here is the original poem: Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening By Robert Frost   Whose woods these are I think I know.    His house is in the village though;    He will not see me stopping here    To watch his woods fill up with sn...

Burning Rubber

Recently, I started my driving class: a home-taught driver education package that I received from my parents for Christmas. So, I started the book work, took the test, and I got my learner's license. Yay!😃   Now comes the next step: more reading, but then applying what I read to actual driving. This

Monday Munchies: Strawberry Cheese Pie

Today I have a very sweet strawberry cream cheese pie recipe that one of the ladies from church shared with us. It is one of my favorite pie recipes, and is very simple to make. Here is what you will need for the pie:

Monday's Menu: Chili with Shells

Before the weather turns warm, I want to share another chili recipe that I personally loved when we fixed it. This is a very simple recipe, with only three major steps involved; it also only takes about 30 minutes to make! Here are the ingredients for the recipe:
