Saturday Savory: Crock Pot Creamy Chicken

I know this recipe might sound similar to last month's "Crock Pot Cheesy Stuffing Chicken," but it has a completely different flavor and ingredients. Click the image to enlarge. To start, here are the ingredients needed for this recipe: 6 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 ounce packet Ranch mix 1/4 cup water 8 ounces sliced mushrooms (fresh) 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 10.25 ounces condensed cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup Now, here is how to make this simple recipe: Click the image to enlarge. After the time is up, it is ready to serve! This creamy chicken is great by itself, or served with rice or mashed potatoes. I hope you try and enjoy this easy-to-make recipe. Saturday Savory: Crock Pot Cheesy Stuffing Chicken

Another new recipe, but this time savory! Also, this is a very simple recipe as it mainly consists of putting everything in a crock pot and letting it cook for most of the day. Click to enlarge. So, to start off this recipe, you will need to gather the following ingredients: 1 medium onion, chopped 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1/2 teaspoon garlic 1/2 teaspoon salt black pepper (to taste) 2 cups shredded cheese* 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 box stuffing mix (dry) 10 ounce can Rotel tomatoes 10 ounce can cream of chicken soup 1 cup chicken broth For the cheese in this recipe, you can actually use 10 slices of swiss cheese in place of the shredded cheese if you want, but we used shredded cheese. Saturday Sweetly: Mississippi Mud Pie

I have a new recipe for you! I know it has been a while since I shared a recipe, but I thought I'd share this one because I really like it. This is a recipe for Mississippi Mud Pie. Click image to enlarge.           The reason this pie has this name is because the appearance is comparable to that of the Mississippi River. There's a nutty crust on the bottom, like the pebbles at the bottom of the river. Then there is a cheese filling, which symbolizes the silt and dirt that sometimes piles up on the riverbed. Next is the "mud," which is chocolate pudding, and last of all is the cool whip on top, which is the frothy peaks of the water rushing down-river.           Here is what you need to make this delicious dessert: 3/4 cups crushed vanilla wafers (approximately) 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 3/4 cup powdered sugar 1 cup thawed cool whip (reserve a...

Free Time Free-hand Drawings

I've been working a lot of hours at work recently, because of some big deadlines coming soon for the next school year. While I have enjoyed most of this extra work, my least favorite new job they have given me is covering the front office when Elsa (our front office person) is in a meeting or at lunch. However, sometimes the front office is not very busy and I get some time to just doodle in a notepad or on sticky notes. This being said, I thought I would share some of my favorite drawings I have made in the last couple weeks. This first one is a free-hand drawing of the IDEA Public Schools logo. Considering I see it every day, I finally decided to give a go at drawing it. I didn't do the best on this one, and might try again eventually. My IDEA Logo. Click to enlarge. Actual IDEA Logo These next drawings were separate, but go together pretty well. I drew the one on the right on my own, no picture of any sort. The maple leaf on the right I copied off the intern...

A reason to be thankful for snow. 😁

The Great Red Dragon of Revelation 12

Sorry this post is a little late! I wanted this project to be done last Sunday, but I kept noticing details that could be added to make it a little better. This post might seem a little random, but it helped me to practice the drawing skills and techniques that I know. This includes: drawing dragon heads, adding small details to half-finished ideas, and adding shading. The idea for this design came from my Mom, when she saw me drawing dragon head designs and challenged me to draw the seven-headed dragon from Revelation 12:3 "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads." My initial idea looked like this: Click to enlarge. I realized that this wouldn't work, for my drawing skills at least, so I changed the design to this: Click to enlarge. I wanted a large center head that captured attention, so I worked on that next: Click to enlarge. Click to enlarge. F...

July in Christmas

I'm currently working on a graphic design to post here on the blog, but since it is not finished yet I thought I would post a little something from the PCC Blog again. I always enjoy these short posts written by the students there, and the one I chose today was written by Sean on December 11, 2015. Here it is: I come from Illinois, where winter temperatures usually range from about zero to the low thirties, and snow on any day other than Christmas is not a wonder but the norm. Many of you that come from "Yankee territory" know the sort of weather I'm talking about, but Floridians take a different attitude. To some Floridians, snow is almost more myth than reality. Since I've been here, we've had snow once, and even then, it was less snow and more frost and freezing rain. But I've never seen so many people as excited to see a quarter-inch of snow ever before or since. What I marvel at is the weather we usually have here. We're only two weeks from...
